Fried onions

We generally use fried onions  in biryani and pulav recipes. Fried onions will give an amazing taste to the recipes. Process is very very easy.  

We can use fried onions in chicken or mutton marination for dum biryani recipes or we can garnish at the end of the pulav or biryani recipes.

For preparation of fried onions, we have to fry the onions very transparently.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Equipment used:  frying pan


  1. Onions: 3
  2. Oil: 2 table spoons


  1. Wash  onions and peel the skin.
  2. Chop the onions  thinly and vertically.
  3. In a frying pan heat 2 table spoons of oil , once oil is hot  add sliced onions fry till onions become golden brown.
  4. Once done. Remove from  pan place it into the tissue paper on a plate.

    Fried onions are ready to use..
